Open Call for Applications 2024
It is with great pleasure that I announce an Open Call for Applications to attend the StartUp Research Program, 2024 Edition, to be held between May 2nd and July 19th 2024.
The StartUp Research is a Post-Graduation program collaboratively built by scientists and entrepreneurs from ITQB NOVA and NOVA SBE , designed to create awareness in researchers of the value their science can generate.
The Program provides Life Sciences researchers with knowledge about Innovation Management, Business Modelling, while developing soft and entrepreneurship skills
The StartUp Research 2024 is the fifth edition of the program and shall be the first from a new ERA – comprising a series of improved features, namely, even higher focus on practical, hands-on learning, involving more top-ranked staff executives, lower weight on Saturdays, and overall, a slightly shorter program – stay tuned for all the details @ https://www.itqb.unl.pt/startupresearch (note: the page is under reconstruction and updating, the new information shall be up within the next few days).
The Post-Graduation will involve 102 in classroom hours (mostly on thu 17h00-21h:00 and fri 14h:00-19h:00), and shall credit a total of 8 ECTS.
How to Apply?
Applications will be open between February 5 and April 19, 2024, are shall be made through the Application Portal: https://candidaturas.itqb.unl.pt/cssnet-itqb/page.
A maximum 2 A4-page CV (Font: Colibri 11-12_PDF.Doc) and a 1 A4-page Motivation Letter (Font: Colibri 11-12_PDF.Doc) will be required, summarizing your work experience, your eventual idea, and expressing how this course fits your career prospects. Applications, and the course will be made/held in English. A minimum proficiency of B2/C1 (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages – CEFR/EN) is expected.
Perpetual registration!
A one-time participation in the StartUp Research program grants a perpetual registration – meaning participants are welcome to join any fore coming new editions, either to attend new features or repeat sections that they think are useful to improve their skills or to bring their projects to another level.
Available Attendance Scholarships:
Two types of scholarships are available:
ITQB NOVA SCHOLARSHIPS: 2 Full tuition Scholarships / Edition are available for ITQB NOVA students and staff.
OEIRAS Valley SCHOLARSHIPS: In the scope of the Oeiras Valley initiative and strategic objectives, 15 x €1500 Scholarships / Edition are available. Although not-exclusive, Oeiras Valley scholarships will be preferentially awarded to candidates coming from SI&DT institutions located within the Oeiras Valley Ecosystem.
